with an incredible 244-page issue
DATE: ELLE Australia is set to make its anticipated return to glossy pages, with its debut print return released on Monday 4 March 2024.
With the first issue themed around ‘Bright Young Things’, the issue profiles the new vanguard of Australian talent with the fiercely intelligent, effortlessly stylish Sophie Wilde, winner of Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2024 AACTA’s, starring on the inaugural print cover.
An extraordinary collection of Australian cover talent are also profiled in the issue including mononymous mega-model Akon – with a fairy like trajectory from a desk job at the ATO to the runways of Paris, actresses Angourie Rice and Maia Mitchell, one of the country’s most impressive young talents, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and sisters and creative-forces Miah and Madeleine Madden – all starting on additional special ELLE digital covers.
Nicky Briger, General Manager of Fashion and Beauty, comments: “With 45 global editions, ELLE is simply one of the most powerful fashion brands in the world.
“For us, print is the cornerstone of any mega publishing brand. In luxury fashion, print legitimises a brand. To have and to hold a hefty, luxe, glossy magazine represents a savoured moment in time – it’s a luxury product in itself, especially in this digital age where everything is transitory.”
Grace O’Neill has been appointed as editor, after initially joining the brand as an intern 10 years ago. As a renowned fashion/lifestyle editor, journalist and podcaster, Grace O’Neill has previously worked in London as Global Content Editor of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, written for British Vogue, The Financial Times, The New York Times and The Guardian, as well as worked on commercial projects for brands including Prada, Cartier, Hennessy and Estée Lauder. She was also the Editor of cult culture magazine Par Femme, co-founder of boutique creative content agency Dollface, and co-host of popular commentary podcast After Work Drinks.
Grace O’Neill, Editor, ELLE, says: “ELLE will tap into the zeitgeist to uncover the now, next and new as we seek to pioneer discussions, trends and showcase the industry’s rising stars and trailblazers.
“The first issue is a love letter to Australian women – smart, stylish and complex. Welcome back to ELLE. We’ve missed you.”
With intelligent discourse, magical gems and its finger on the creative pulse of fashion, entertainment and culture – the return of ELLE Australia is being backed by an extensive marketing and content push, including the innovative What The ELLE? podcast series hosted by Grace O’Neill and presented by Kerastase and a partnership with Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Are Media will publish two editions of ELLE Australia this year – autumn/winter edition released now and a spring/summer edition in September – and four editions in 2025.
